How to bulk create pages in Elementor

Elementor has no built-in bulk page generator, so you bulk create pages in one of four ways: duplicate a finished page, build one Elementor template that reads custom fields and import the data, use a page generator plugin with Elementor support, or create the pages through the WordPress REST API. The fastest reliable route for most sites is one designed layout bound to custom fields, because the design stays in one place and each page only carries its own content.

This guide is for agencies and in-house teams whose WordPress site is built in Elementor and who need dozens or hundreds of similar pages: city pages, service pages or treatment pages that must look exactly like the hand-built ones. Disclosure: it is written by the team behind Scaleo SEO (scaleo.in) by Reinvent Digital, which publishes pages into Elementor layouts. Each method below works without it.

Why is bulk creating pages in Elementor harder than in plain WordPress?

Because Elementor does not render the page from the normal WordPress content field. It stores each page's layout and text as JSON in a post meta field called _elementor_data, and builds the page from that. A CSV import or script that only fills post_content creates pages that Elementor ignores or shows unstyled.

That leaves two kinds of approach. Either every page gets its own copy of the Elementor JSON with its text changed inside it, or every page shares one Elementor design that pulls its text from custom fields. The second is easier to maintain: change the design once and every page follows.

What are the ways to bulk create pages in Elementor?

MethodNeedsGood forMain drawback
Duplicate and editA duplicate-page plugin or saved templateUp to about 20 pagesEvery design change must be repeated on every page
Template plus custom fieldsACF, an import tool, and Elementor Pro or a dynamic tags add-onHundreds of pages with one designSomeone still writes every field
Page generator pluginA plugin such as LPagery, plus a spreadsheetQuick launches from a sheetPages only differ as much as the sheet does
REST API or a generator platformAn application password and a script or serviceLarge, repeating campaignsMust handle Elementor meta and CSS correctly

How do you duplicate an Elementor page many times?

For a handful of pages, duplication is fine. Save a finished page as a template from the arrow next to the Publish button, or use a duplicate-page plugin, then edit each copy.

  1. Finish one page completely, including headings, images, forms and SEO title.
  2. Save it as a template (Save as Template) or duplicate it with a plugin.
  3. Create each new page from the template and change its title, slug and every local detail.
  4. Set a unique SEO title and meta description in Yoast or Rank Math on each copy.

The cost appears later: a copied page is a separate copy of the design, so a new button colour or section means editing every page by hand.

How do you build one Elementor template that fills itself from custom fields?

This is the method that scales without a paid generator. Each page stores its own text in custom fields, and one Elementor design displays those fields. With Elementor Pro, the design is a Theme Builder single template; Elementor's announcement of Theme Builder describes templates for custom post types and fields from ACF. Free Elementor has no Theme Builder or dynamic tags, but free add-ons such as Dynamic Tags for Elementor can bind widgets to ACF fields on a normal Elementor page.

  1. Create the fields in Advanced Custom Fields (or Secure Custom Fields): intro, services offered, areas covered, prices, FAQs, address and phone.
  2. Decide where pages live: normal pages, or a custom post type such as "locations" with its own URL base.
  3. Build the design once in Elementor and bind each text widget to its field with a dynamic tag instead of typing text into it.
  4. Apply the design: with Pro, publish the single template with a display condition for your post type; without Pro, use the bound page as the source each new page copies.
  5. Import the data from a CSV with an import tool such as WP All Import, mapping each column to its field, title and slug.
  6. Import as drafts, check three pages from different cities, then publish and link them from a hub page.

The design problem is solved; the content problem is not. The fields are only as useful as what goes into them, and a sheet where every row says the same thing with a new city name produces doorway pages, however good the layout. Our service area page template lists what each section of a city page should hold.

Which page generator plugins work with Elementor?

Several WordPress page generators support Elementor layouts by replacing placeholders such as {city} inside the Elementor data. LPagery's help centre describes creating, updating and deleting pages from a Google Sheet and has tutorials for Elementor widgets. Check each plugin's current plan for Elementor support and spreadsheet sync before you buy, since these features often sit in paid tiers. Our guide to generating web pages from Google Sheets covers setting up the sheet itself.

Placeholder plugins inherit the same limit as any template: the page says only what the sheet says. Our comparison of bulk page generators and researched pages sets out where that matters.

How do you create Elementor pages through the REST API?

Developers can create the pages from a script. The WordPress pages endpoint creates the page itself; the Elementor parts need extra care.

  1. Authenticate with an application password for a user who can publish pages.
  2. Create the page with its title, slug, status and the Elementor canvas or full-width page template.
  3. Write the layout: either a copy of the source page's _elementor_data with the text changed, or the shared layout plus the page's custom fields. Depending on the Elementor version and site setup, that meta may not be writable over REST, so this often needs a small connector plugin or a register_meta call with show_in_rest.
  4. Set Elementor's edit mode so the page opens in the Elementor editor rather than the block editor.
  5. Regenerate the CSS. Elementor caches each page's styles; if a page loads unstyled, use Elementor's Regenerate CSS and Data tool under Elementor, then Tools, and purge any page cache.
  6. Publish as drafts first and open several in the editor to confirm nothing broke.

What goes wrong when bulk creating Elementor pages?

  • Unstyled pages after an import or script, until Elementor's CSS is regenerated.
  • Edits that do not appear because the text was written to post_content, which Elementor ignores when it renders the page.
  • Same text on every page. A perfect layout does not stop near-copies being treated as doorway pages; our guide to doorway pages vs location pages shows the line.
  • Orphan pages reachable only from the sitemap, which Google discovers late. If pages are stuck, see why location pages are not indexed.
  • Missing SEO fields: titles and descriptions left at the plugin's default for every page.

Which method should you choose?

Under about 20 pages, duplicate and edit. For more pages with content you already have, bind one Elementor design to custom fields and import the data. If you need the content written as well, choose a tool that produces different, checked content for each page, not just a different city name.

Scaleo SEO is built for that last case. It researches each city, writes every service and city page on its own, has a second AI model score each page, and publishes into the Elementor layout your designer already built through its WordPress connector, along with the Yoast or Rank Math fields. Questions about bulk creating pages in Elementor

Does Elementor have a bulk page generator?

No. Elementor lets you save pages as templates and, in Pro, build Theme Builder templates that read custom fields, but it does not create many pages from a spreadsheet. Bulk creation needs an import tool, a page generator plugin or the REST API.

Can I bulk create Elementor pages with the free version?

Yes, with add-ons. Free Elementor has no Theme Builder or dynamic tags, but free plugins such as Dynamic Tags for Elementor with ACF let widgets show custom field values. You then import the field data for each page.

Why do my imported Elementor pages show no styling?

Elementor stores each page's CSS separately, and imported pages may not have it generated yet. Run Regenerate CSS and Data under Elementor, then Tools, and clear any page or CDN cache.

Can I import a CSV into Elementor pages?

Not directly into the Elementor layout. Import the CSV into custom fields with a tool such as WP All Import, and have the Elementor design display those fields through dynamic tags.

Will hundreds of Elementor city pages hurt SEO?

Only if they are near-copies made just to rank. Google's spam policies treat city pages that funnel visitors to one place as doorway abuse, whatever builder made them. Give each page real local information.
